Assistant Controller
About the Company:
Our client, located in the Western suburbs, is seeking an Assistant Controller to help lead the accounting team to the next level. This client has seen tremendous growth over the last few years and has a great team in place. This will be a highly visible role and is ideally a position for someone who is system savvy and looking to make an immediate impact!
Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller role:
- The Assistant Controller will report to the CEO and manage all accounts
- The Assistant Controller will research and identify discrepancies
- The Assistant Controller is responsible for maintaining g/l
- The Assistant Controller will handle the entire month-end close process
- High volume account reconciliations
- General ledger entries and journal entries
- Liaison with external auditors
- Oversee all balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with insurance and 401k audits
Requirements for the Assistant Controller role:
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience handling the month-end close process
- 1+ years of experience managing a team under them
- Advanced Excel - vlookups and pivot tables
